NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medevaced a man approximately 19 miles east of Venice, Louisiana, Friday. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report at 10:10 a.m. of a 42-year-old man experiencing severe chest pain. Watchstanders directed the launch of a 45-foot response boat-medium crew from Coast Guard Station Venice to assist the man.  The response boat crew arrived on scene at 12:50 p.m. and transported the man to emergency medical services who were waiting at Station Venice.... PETERSBURG, Fla. — A Coast Guard Cutter Resolute crew member took the Oath of Allegiance Tuesday aboard the cutter in St. Petersburg to become a naturalized U.S. citizen.  Seaman Samuel Gonzalez, a native of Monterrey, Mexico, joined the Coast Guard in 2015 and began the naturalization process.
