NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medevaced a man approximately 19 miles east of Venice, Louisiana, Friday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report at 10:10 a.m. of a 42-year-old man experiencing severe chest pain. Watchstanders directed the launch of a 45-foot response boat-medium crew from Coast Guard Station Venice to assist the man.
The response boat crew arrived on scene at 12:50 p.m. and transported the man to emergency medical services who were waiting at Station Venice.
EMS took the man to Ochsner Medical Center in Gretna, Louisiana, in stable condition.
