The Coast Guard established a temporary regulated navigation area Thursday for the navigable waters surrounding the Herbert C. Bonner Bridge in North Carolina. The RNA allows the Coast Guard to impose vessel traffic restrictions within Oregon Inlet to safeguard vessels from shoaling and to reduce the risk of a bridge strike. ALAMEDA, Calif. – A Coast Guardsman was sentenced to six months confinement for Sexual Assault and other violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice during a general court-martial aboard Coast Guard Base Alameda Friday.   Petty Officer 2nd Class Harold C. Sanchez was also sentenced to a reduction in pay grade to E-1, the military’s lowest pay grade, for Sexual Assault, Failure to Obey an Order and Making False Official Statements. PETERSBURG, Fla.— Coast Guard and partnering agencies are searching for a possible missing 19-year-old male paddleboarder on the southeast side of Sanibel Island, Florida, Monday.  At approximately 3:30 p.m. watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg received a report that a 6-foot white male had fallen off his paddleboard.
