ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Coast Guard found two missing fishermen, father and son, 35 miles southwest of Marco, Florida, Sunday. At approximately 1:00 a.m. watchstanders at Coast Guard St. Petersburg received a report that Juan Martinez, 27, and his father Juan Martinez, 50, were expected and failed to return from a fishing trip at the Bay View boat ramp in Naples, Florida. PONCE DE LEON INLET, Fla. — A good Samaritan aboard a vessel transiting the area found and recovered the missing kayaker east of the Haulover Canal, near Titusville, Florida. Missing was Vincent Caione, 65 years old. Caione was brought into Haulover Canal Boat Ramp where he was met by family. Illegal catch seized by Coast Guard boat crews sits on display at Station South Padre Island Friday. CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coast Guard seized 3,249 pounds of illegal catch from three Mexican fishing boats poaching in waters off South Padre Island early Friday morning.
