Coast Guard member pleads guilty, sentenced at General Court-Martial

SEATTLE —  A Coast Guard member was convicted of wrongful use of a government computer and electronic harassment and will be reduced in rank to E-6 and serve one month in confinement after pleading guilty at a General Court-Martial on Friday.

Master Chief Petty Officer Paul J. Dahms pled guilty to one specification of wrongful use of a government computer in violation of Article 92 and three specifications of electronic stalking in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Dahms will be reduced to E-6 and serve one month of confinement at the Northwest Joint Regional Correctional Facility on Joint Base Lewis McChord.

The Coast Guard Investigative Service led the investigation.  Coast Guard Judge Advocates from the Thirteenth Coast Guard District in Seattle, Washington prosecuted the case.
