NEW YORK CITY — Coast Guard crews and local responders are responding to reports of a small plane crashing on the Hudson River, New York, Friday.
The small plane which crashed on the Hudson River has been confirmed to be a P-47 Thunderbolt aircraft traveling with one person aboard.
Coast Guard rescue crews are on scene conducting searches for a survivor along with New York Police Department Divers and other local agencies included below.
Assets involved in the search include:
-Coast Guard Station New York
-New York Police Department
-New York Police Department Aviation Division
-New York Fire Deparetment
-New Jersey State Police
-And other local agencies are also responding.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
