NEW YORK CITY — Coast Guard crews and local responders are responding to reports of a small plane crashing on the Hudson River, New York, Friday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New York received a call at approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday, reporting a small plane had crashed into the Hudson River.
Sector New York issued an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast notice to mariners, requesting vessels in the area to keep a sharp lookout for the crashed plane and for any survivors.
Assets involved in the search include:
-Coast Guard Station New York
-New York Police Department
-New York Police Department Aviation Division
-New York Fire Deparetment
-New Jersey State Police
-And other local agencies are also responding.
