SEATTLE — A Coast Guard helicopter crew medevaced a 51-year-old male from a 1,140-foot container ship about 70 miles west of the Columbia River Bar, Friday.
A Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Oregon-based MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew safely hoisted the man from the German-flagged motor vessel CMA CGM Vela and transported him to waiting EMS personnel, who took him to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria in stable condition.
