HOUSTON — The Coast Guard has temporarily restricted traffic on the Intracoastal Waterway, near Bolivar Cut, after two tow boats allided with a 230-foot dredge boat, Thursday.
No injuries were reported. There are no reports of pollution in the water.
The restriction limits transiting vessels to one-way traffic.
The dredge boat reportedly received damage to its swing wire, and is being assisted out of the Houston Ship Channel.
The waterway is expected to re-open around 7 p.m.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
