PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Coast Guard is scheduled to hold a public meeting at the Cape Charles Civic Center from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. August 17.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for oral comments regarding the advance notice of proposed rulemaking entitled "Anchorage Grounds; Lower Chesapeake Bay, Cape Charles, VA," published in the Federal Register on April 19.
The proposed rulemaking states that the Coast Guard is considering amending the regulations for Hampton Roads and adjacent waters by establishing a new anchorage near Cape Charles.
People may submit comments online by visiting http://www.regulations.gov and entering the docket number USCG-2015-1118.
All comments and related material must be received on or before August 31.
