SEATTLE — Coast Guard crews are seeking additional information as they continue to search for a missing man in Shilshole Bay, Saturday.
Missing is Jerry Wayne Middleton, reportedly 6 foot 6 inches tall, Caucasian, with brown hair, approximately 350 pounds and possible last known address in Houston, Texas., and anyone with information is requested to contact Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound at (206) 217-6001.
Search efforts began when a good Samaritan reported Middleton's 14-foot skiff unmanned and adrift in the bay yesterday.
The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Sea Lion, an 87-foot Coastal Patrol Boat homeported in Bellingham, and an MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles are currently continuing the search. Seattle Police Department personnel assisted overnight with a Harbor Patrol crew and land-side units.
Weather on scene is calm with light rain, and an air temperature of 52 F and water temperature of 54 F.
