SAN FRANCISCO - Wednesday, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Coast Guard was notified of a missing jet skier on the Napa River.
A Coast Guard rescue boat and helicopter were immediately dispatched to the area, as well as a Napa Sherriff's Department boat and a California Highway Patrol helicopter. Searching continued throughout the evening.
At approximately 7:45 a.m., Thursday, a Coast Guard helicopter located a body in the water near the Brazos Union Pacific Railroad Bridge that matched the description of the missing jet skier. The deceased female was pulled from the water by the Napa Sherriff's boat.
The cause of death is under investigation by the Napa County Sheriffs.
